Hello,

a bit about me:

My name is Colleen Villasis and I recently graduated as Creative Media Productions student from Massey University of Wellington. Before coming into Massey, I originally wanted to be a graphic design student. I wanted to create logos, design identities and compose posters or any form of advertisement for companies. While exploring these things, I stumbled across coding and Programming. Programming was unexpected for me as I didn’t know that we could use these to create something that was visually appealing. An example of this is making aesthetically pleasing art using JavaScript. At the same time, I learnt how to code in HTML language which helped me create basic websites. I felt like coding excited me because I felt like the strips of words were coming to life.  I found myself choosing a game course that I really enjoyed which helps solidify my dream of being a programmer. I still have an interest in design, but I found myself interested in other things as well such as animation and any other media types that they offered to teach us about in. Although I excel mostly in programming I am willing to learn about the job that I must fill. My dream is to work with creators or companies that produces games or anything digitally interactive that could give people the same amount of joy that I get when I play games.
